Mini-blinds come in a variety of sizes from 1/2" micro, 1" or 1 3/8", up to a 2" venetian. The micro blinds are perfect if you do not want an obstructed view. They are so thin they almost disappear when opened. The standard 1" size is the most common choice for homeowners and only come in standard sizes. If there are custom features and size requirements this may not be the blind for you. To make a bold statement with your window coverings you may want to go with the larger 1 3/8". There is the routless assembly that situates the lift cords on the outside of the slat for more light coverage, or the cordless blind that lifts by grabbing the bottom rail instead of using a cord. To get around tile or other obstacles that may intrude into the window you can have cut outs created to neatly go around the intrusion. The motorized blind is a really neat feature. There is a battery powered motor that operates with a remote control so you can adjust every window in the house as long as they are from the same manufacturer.
